PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.


INSANELY RARE pressing on The Self-Starter Foundation label from 1997 recorded, mixed and mastered by James Murphy (yes, THAT James Murphy (LCD Soundsytem/DFA) with barcoded poly outer sleeve, original lyric sheet, ALL THREE original shower caps, reflective gold foil title sticker with RED ink (NOT blue), red bird image hand-stamped on the side 1 label (on top of the factory printed label) and rare original "Personal Success Program From The Self-Starter Foundation" order form insert featuring 7" singles by the Mooney Suzuki and the massively collectable Karate, among others!!!  Vinyl has no scratches, no scuffs and some oxidation that is only lightly audible on the quiet bits on side 2.  Most of these are warped.  This one is as flat as a pancake.  Outer poly sleeve has NO splits.  This one even comes with the original custom barcoded Reckless Records (represent, Chicago!) price/description stickers dated July, 2009 and receipt dated August 4, 2009, the day I purchased this rarity 12 years ago (along with a Japandroids and Major Lazer LP!).  Even has the original hand-written Reckless hype card erroneously stating that this LP was limited to 500 copies.  It was actually far fewer, 338 to be exact, so don't sleep.  There is a pressing with blue ink on the gold foil hype sticker and no red bird stamped on the side 1 label but they aren't nearly as rare as this one, with 550 in existence.  A MASSIVE current and future collectable, near impossible to find complete in this condition so don't miss it.
