Description

Lovely original 1955 copy of Les Baxter's classic Tamboo! LP on Capitol T-655. Original turquoise label and deep groove pressing. This is one of the all-time great exotica albums of the whole era. Not loungy like Martin Denny, but more cinematic and grand, like a movie soundtrack. Just glorious sound. And this copy plays fantastically. There are some light scuffs but mostly they are superficial and do affect the play. Plays near perfectly with only very very light crackle between some tracks, but barely even that. A beautiful sounding copy all in all. And the cover is also quite nice with very little ringwear, a perfectly intact and readable spine, and crisp, clean edges with no splits and only minor shelfwear. Anyhow it is just beautiful; a top original copy.
