LES BAXTER - "Cry Of The Banshee" and "Edgar Allen Poe" (studio re-recordings of film & tv scores.) Citadel Records (USA) CTV 7013. CONDITION: NM--/NM. Sleeve shows a few spots of wear along the edges, no other flaws. Disc looks like new and plays perfectly, zero surface noise. ABOUT THE RECORD: 1972 recordings of orchestral suites by Les Baxter, based on his scores for Cry Of The Banshee and the tv show An Evening With Edgar Allen Poe, both produced in 1970 by American International. The music goes from percussive Stravinsky-lite sounds to standard post-Romanticism to electronic weirdness, in addition to the standard theremin spookiness; some of it's pretty interesting.
