LEROY CARR ‘BLUES BEFORE SUNRISE’ ORIGINAL 1st PRESS CBS 1962 VINYL LP IN LAMINATED SLEEVE

Sleeve Condition: Ex+, with absolutely no stickers, marking, writing, defect or damage. Nice clean sleeve with sharp corners.

Record Condition: Ex+, the record has obviously seen very little play in its lifetime. A fine example. Plays fine throughout.

A very rare item and a first class example of it, too. Released on vinyl for the first time since the original ‘78s before the blues revival had got under way and almost two years before the British Blues boom had begun, LPs like this were expensive, out of the reach of the young, record buying public by and large and reaching only a tiny minority of experimental record buyers. Thus, incredibly small numbers of this kind of thing were actually bought and to find a copy surviving in this condition is something of a real find.
