Description
THIS IS THE SECOND PRESSING OF THE ROLLING STONES VERY FIRST LP ON THE UK DECCA MONO RED LABEL AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION. THE COVER IS IN OUTSTANDING CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is LK 4605 on the ORIGINAL RED DECCA label (see picture) and is a mono UK second pressing with matrix numbers XARL-6271-1A and XARL-6272-4A. It includes the longer version of Tell Me, and Mona is listed on the cover and record label as I Need You Baby.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and ONLY A FEW VERY LIGHT spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS HARDLY BEEN PLAYED AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The MacNeill Press cover is in OUTSTANDING condition! It has NO wear to spine. The opening edges are straight with only VERY VERY MINIMAL edge wear!
The front cover has a 2.5 cm diagonal crease 1cm to the left and 2cm below the top right corner. There is the FAINTEST 8cm diagonal crease 4cm to the left and 6cm below the top right corner. There is a 1cm LIGHT crease to the extreme bottom right hand corner. There is a VERY LIGHT 4cm vertical HAIRPIN crease 5cm to the left of the bottom right hand corner. There is the SLIGHTEST HINT of ringwear to the right side edge of the cover. Apart from that, the front cover retains ALL of its initial glossy look!
The back cover has a LIGHT 1cm vertical crease 5cm to the right of the top left corner and a LIGHT 1cm vertical crease 9cm to the right of the top left corner. The top left corner has a LIGHT 3cm diagonal crease and a VERY LIGHT 8cm diagonal crease.
Apart from that, the front and back cover retains its original clean look. The cardboard is firm and strong. NONE of the surface of the cover has rubbed away over the years, there is NO discolouration and NO writing. It looks close to brand new apart from the crease in the top right corner.
THIS IS A VERY RARE UK 2ND PRESSING TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION! MOST OF THEM WERE PLAYED TO DEATH AND THE COVERS ARE SHABBY. DONT MISS OUT!
For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
