Very rare, limited to 100 (this is #8/100). Silk screened covers, each one reason enough to own this LP!
Left for Dead featured Chris Colohan on vocals, you might know him from such bands as Ruination, the Swarm and his current band Burning Love (on Southern Lord). Very heavy and brutal hardcore.
On the flipside you have Chokehold, also from Ontario, Canada. Chokehold were one of the best metallic-hardcore bands playing around in the mid-90s. Very political lyrics and lots of chugga chugga guitar riffs.
Here's the story behind this particular version of this LP; Someone found 100 or so copies of the original split in an attic, and sold them as a lot on eBay. The buyer made a sleeve, and sold them at the Left for Dead reunion/fundraiser in Burlington, ON in 2004. Comes with an insert about upcoming Fucked Up/Haymaker/Cursed shows and Rabidog Films (who the benefit was for).
After over 25 years being involved in the hardcore/punk scene it's time to start unloading some of the stuff i've collected over the years. Boxes of zines, flyers, records, shirt, etc are taking up too much space in our little apartment. It's not easy to see these things go, but between limited space and a need for some extra cash, i just have to let go. Keep an eye on my ebay listings as i will be adding new items all the time. Each box & tote that i open unleashes new treasures!
