Description
LEE MORGAN “City Lights” Blue Note 1575 FIRST PRESSING Vinyl
This is the 1957, First Edition, “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of LEE MORGAN’s “City Lights” on the “47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1575.
VINYL surface looks worn. But no feelable marks. Vinyl plays with consistent very light to medium level surface noise, with pops or ticks, some repeating (Side 2, #1.) The degree of surface noise changes from track to track, some are quite quiet, others have louder surface noise, pops or ticks. But the music signal throughout is strong, clean and dynamic. No skips. No distortion. The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels show a little wear on Side 2, spindle marks. See photos.
Laminated Cover is in excellent shape, corners worn. Spine and seams clean. Some wear at corners. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 47 West 63rd St., New York 23” back jacket is clean with radio station stamps. Please see photos.
PLEASE NOTE: The description of this LP is LITERAL. If you are expecting a mint, NM, OR super clean LP, DO NOT BID ON THIS RECORD. If YOU ARE NEW TO VINYL, do NOT expect a MINT, CLEAN LP. STARTING PRICE REFLECTS CONDITION. “Surface noise, pops and ticks” EQUALS the as noted level of surface noise, pop and ticks. THANKS!!
This LP was play-tested. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
