Description

LEE MORGAN Candy Blue Note 1590. This record is deep groove and stamped RVG and has the earmark in the dead wax on both sides. Both the vinyl and the back of the jacket bare the 47 West 63rd St address. Vinyl is VG+, record is overall in very nice shape, there are some isuperficial sleeve scuffs on both sides of the LP. Side one has one single 1/4 inch mark on the first track which can be felt- I did not hear any pops from it when I played the record although perhaps it contributed a little bit of crackling. The album plays through on both sides with no skips. There is a small amount of crackling which can be heard during quiet passages- I did not find this to be overpowering, but everyone's opinions on this are different. There are no major repeating clicks or pops, and as far as I can tell, there does not seem to be any display of groove damage There is a chance this soft crackling could be resolved if the album were given a proper cleaning. Labels are very clean with no spindle marks. Jacket is, unfortunately, G. The top seam is split all the way across, the bottom seam is split half way across. The spine has a 2 1/2" seam split at the bottom and a 1" seam split at the top, otherwise the spine is still perfectly legible. Both the front and back covers show very minor ringwear. The corners are slightly rounded (see pics). This is a NO RESERVE auction and I will not end it early. Payment must be received within three days of end of auction. Please ask all ?'s BEFORE bidding.
