Description
Rare first press with A5/B5 engravings. (The earliest matrices for this album are A5/B5. Page was said to be unhappy with the first few test pressings and rejected them in favour of the 5th pressing). Also present are the “Do What Thou Wilt” and “So Mote It Be” quotes by Aleister Crowley hand etched by engineer Terry Manning.
Lack of credit for Executive producer, Peter Grant and track 2 being listed as “Celebration” not “Celebration Day” shows this to be a second issue.
Gatefold sleeve in good condition overall with spinning wheel moving freely. Light marks with some indentations visible when held up to light.
Surface scratches on both sides of record causing light pops and crackles but plays very well all the way through otherwise.
Please refer to photos in which all faults have been highlighted.
