LED ZEPPELIN - STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN MONO / STEREO US ATLANTIC PROMOTIONAL PICTURE SLEEVE 45 # PR - 175 LEGENDARY USA PROMO ONLY . Here is a MINT condition copy of this 45. The disc is in PERFECT, UNPLAYED, AS NEW, 100% AAAA+++ FLAWLESS, UNBLEMISHED, SUPERB CONDITION. The FRAGILE sleeve is the best example, in the BEST CONDITION I have ever seen. As experienced collectors know only too well, whereas the 45 and sleeve can occasionally be found offered for sale, to find a copy in anything approaching MINT condition is a very difficult task indeed. There are several reasons for this, but the two most common, in my experince of 30+ years, is that the sleeve has a approximately 1/8" - 3/16" overlap at the opening on top. What this means is that the paper extends that amount above the top of the sleeve. This occurs on the front of the sleeve (the picture side). The printed title side of the sleeve, (the white side), which is the back of the sleeve, is lower than the front (picture) side. The narrow, fragile, top edge of the sleeve is almost invariable folded, bent, crushed or otherwise disturbed. It is almost an inevitable occurence, the design of the sleeeve almost guarantees that this will happen. But NOT ON THIS COPY. This copy is 99 % flat, straight, unbent, undamaged, clean and intact. There is just the most insignificant, tiny litttle crease, barely visible on this edge. Almost imperceptible, perhaps occurring during the manufacturing process at the factory or production plant. Or perhaps during shipping? And a near invisible notation in very , very light pencil along the top edge at the picture side. So small I cannot even read it, I can just barely see it. I have provided an enlarged scan of the sleeve to help any interested bidder in identifying this mark. I hope you have excellent eyesight if you attempt this. The other issue that arises with this record is that there is often a pronounced ring wear on the front of the white slleve. Once again , NOT ON THIS COPY. There is a very ,very, very faint hint of a label outine, but, once again, this very possibly could have occurred when being shipped from the factory in a box of 25. The impression of the edge of the 45 is barely visible, which is unusual with this sleeve, because the white color is so prone to damage. The scan of the cover that I included with this listing may look a bit cloudy or grey. I GUARANTEE that this is not the case of the actual sleeve. The color is as NEW, it is CLEAN, CLEAR , WHITE AND UNMARKED. The labels of the disc are 99.5 % perfect. There is a tiny little mark on the mono side, it should be apparent in the scan of the label. No writing, which is again unusual as this was a radio station only promo issue, and stations very often wrote on the label or sleeve. This copy fortunately escaped that fate. As to the disc, well, it is NEW. I cannot describe it otherwise. NEW & UNPLAYED & PERFECT. I have been buying and collecting records since the sixties, and I can say that this disc is in better shape than many new, shrinkwrapped copies of discs that I have purchased. Beautiful shiny, glossy, MINT condition. As to the music, this PROMOTIONAL ONLY 45 is the only release that I am aware of that has the FULL LENGTH 7.55 MONO version of Stairway To Heaven.
