This is the Original 1st UK Issue of `Physical Graffiti` by Led Zeppelin, an all time rock Classic and this copy is as it was first released in the UK in Febuary 1975, a Double LP it came in a Card box type sleeve representing a New York building, it had die cut out windows with interchangeable pictures via the inner sleeves, below are all the facets that confirm this is a genuine first issue, matrix/run out groove A1/B5/C1/D1
1. First Issue has labels without Warner logo (W) on rim text and vinyl matrix ending with A1/B5/C1/D1.
2. The original die-cut "windows" cover has "SWAN SONG/484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10" address at the top on the back.
3. The set contains two custom inners with code "SSK 89400/A" for disc 1 and "SSK 89400/B" for disc 2 on bottom right back corner, Original cover & inners are smooth on the outside and rough on the inside.
4. Has a white 2-page folded insert that has songs titles, credits, and text "Sleeve printed and made in England by Gothic Print Finishers Ltd., London SE9 2EQ". The most common insert found in most 1st press copies is the insert with the white front and cardboard back with TWO folds at the bottom. The two folds (like a cover spine) were made on each insert at the bottom. This therefore wrapped around the records & inners inside the cover properly.
Vinyl Grading (Disc 1 VG+)(Disc 2 EX) under bright LED lights I can see wispy sleeve removal scuffs (these are from the rough card inner sleeve they were sold in, I have placed the records in tissue hi fi inners), no feelable scratches, no sticks or jumps, played through fine, some dust crackle in some quieter places that improved on play, that said this is a loud album
Label Grading - Lovely Clean Swan Song labels - some visible spindle lines
Inserts - All EX condition, there is no knifing on the inner sleeves, the white inner `credits` card looks clean with really sharp edges and spine, please see photos for best overview
Sleeve Grading (VG+/EX) - Hard to find the sleeve in this condition with all die cut windows intact, the edges are all sound, some wear to the two top corners where the records are placed, please see photos for the complete overview
Packing Details – Every record will have the following:

Sleeve and Vinyl placed in Polythene outer

2x 12” Card stiffeners to protect from bending

Sealed in bubble wrap for extra protection

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in UK Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
