Back in the day, bands often released TWO albums in the same year. The mighty Led Zeppelin, Britain's heavy blues rock giants, released both 'Led Zeppelin' and 'Led Zeppelin II' in 1969! That second album gave the world the hits "Whole Lotta Love", "Thank You", "Heartbreaker", "Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)", and "Ramble On". The album made the band international superstars, and solidified their place in rock and roll history. Suddenly, everyone know who Zeppelin was, and their music could be heard blasting out of nearly every rock radio station in existence!
The Hispavox S.A. Record company in Spain released the first five Led Zeppelin albums on thick and heavy picture disc LPs, around the mid to late 2010s. This particular one was purchased without any jacket, so it will come in a plain and generic clear PVC sleeve. The vinyl itself looks great, and is shiny and clean. I cannot vouch for the sound quality, as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records.
And of course this comes with bonuses! First bonus is the 'Rolling Stone' magazine Led Zeppelin special edition issue! These are great, and have NO ads! (There's many of them made for The Beatles, The Dead, Prince, The Eagles, Tom Petty, and several others.) Just tons of interesting articles and pics about Zeppelin. There's also their 40 greatest songs, and album reviews. All Zeppelin, and no ads...how cool is that?!? In nearly perfect condition. No pages torn or ripped out, dog-eared, or handwritten on.
Next bonus is the album titled 'No Quarter: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Unledded', released THIRTY years ago, in 1994! It's awesome, and is classic Zeppelin songs, remade in different styles, as well as a few new tracks. It was the first time that these two got back together and recorded new music since the breakup up Led Zeppelin. (And for some reason they left out John Paul Jones.) It would not be the last time that these two did projects together. The disc looks great, and is shiny and clean. One or two very, very light surface marks is all I see. (Hardly noticeable, and nothing that will affect play in any way.) Case looks great.
Last bonus is an interview CD from 1990. It's called 'Led Zeppelin Profiled', and it's about an hour long. They interview the three: Jones, Page, and Plant. No music on here, just interviews. A very cool collectible, talking to the original three surviving members of Zeppelin! Disc looks great, and is almost new. Shiny and clean. Case looks great, as well.
