Led Zeppelin Collectors will know just how rare this record is - very few transitional pressings were ever made.

I have only ever seen one other 'complete' transitional pressing advertised on ebay and that sold for £204 - although the vinyl grading in that listing was higher than the one on offer here.

It is much rarer and harder to find than original red/plum first pressings.

This item has all of the following 'transitional' pressing features -

any you might see elsewhere without all of these features are not complete and genuine transitional pressings.

·        Transitional matrix numbers 2401012 'A3/B4' & K50008 A/B.

·        Porky and Pecko Duck etched into the run-off groove.

·        Green & orange labels with no Warner Brothers logo.

·        Mispressed Misty Mountan 'Top' label rather than 'Hop'.

·        Crossed out and altered matrix number on side 1.

·        Dark grey flipback 1st pressing lyric inner sleeve.

·        Original matt gatefold cover

·        ‘Kinney’ sticker on the rear cover.

Cover: Matt gatefold unlaminated cover is Excellent - just has the initials A.S. in top corner. Has the original Kinney sticker which is complete and undamaged - just a little faded after all these years.

Inner lyric sleeve: Original flip-back 1st pressing is very good (not excellent or mint) with some seam splitting at the base and some tape residue + some smudges on one side.

Labels: Near Mint. A3/B4 matrices. Porky & Pecko Duck hand etched in run-out groove.

Vinyl: Very Good. Would benefit from a clean as it has not been played for many years. Hairlines and feathering but no feelable/deep scratches.

Gradings.......

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
