LED ZEPPELIN IV 1971 RARE v.5 UK VINYL LP RED/PLUM, top error, ex inner!
An exact match with this listing on Disocogs - release/439898-Led-Zeppelin-Untitled - which states:
This is the 5th of 9 known 'plum' label variations. Specific features for this: • 'Marketed by Polydor Records Limited' at 6 o'clock. • 'Under license from Atlantic Recording Corpn.' in white area under 'Atlantic' on left side. • 'Led Zeppelin' is printed above spindle hole.
Side 2 has the following errors: 'Misty Mountain Hop' is misspelt 'Misty Mountain Top'.

The gatefold sleeve has a minimal amount of wear and tear, save for a small tear on the back - spine and edges etc. are very nice - very nice inside gatefold. - see photos
Original STH lyrics card inner is in slightly tatty condition , a few rips and has been taped up (see photos)
Labels look great and have no rips or pen marks, very little centre marks from playback
Vinyl has only light igns of past usage, just surface marks /light hairlines if you look closely, very clean overall, - they do not cause any major issues , no jumps on playback , and no loud background
Playback is great - some quiet bits and run ins are crackly as you would expect - however the powerful bits still sound great! ... including BOE and STH
A great listen overall
So, a RARE var. 5 plum label, early release with the 'TOP' error, that has nice a gatefold , an original inner sleeve, and is very listenable !
