This is a superb original early A5-B5 UK Plum/Red Atlantic issue in brilliant extremely clean playing condition, all tracks play and sound an amazing EX++/NM from beginning to end with no real audible faults at all. The original early thick card fully laminated E.J.Day gatefold sleeve is also in superb excellent+ condition with no lamination creasing or lines at all and barely any signs of ageing.

I sold a similar condition early A5-B6 copy of Led Zeppelin III not too long ago, that copy had the earliest label layout with the Jimmy Page producer credit on the top half of the label in large text, this original uk issue on offer here has the Jimmy Page credit in small text in the bottom half of the labels just under the track-listing, this early copy also has the rare side-one 'Celebration' label error.

This brilliant original UK Led Zeppelin album has been very well looked after indeed and it would be very difficult to find another original UK copy that plays and sounds as good as this one on offer here, it really is that good.

Both sides of the original thick chunky vinyl are very clean and glossy with a brilliant original deep sheen that is almost flawless, there is just one light wispy scuff line on side two and some ultra-fine hard to see sleeve withdrawal hairlines, these few extremely minor light surface lines really are superficial and have absolutely no effect on play at all as every track plays and sounds EX++/NM throughout, this album really does play like a dream from beginning to end and is free of annoying loud surface crackle/clicks and pops. The sound quality is amazingly clear and clean throughout the entire album, this is just a top playing early UK copy that has been very well looked after and will not disappoint.

Both plum/red Atlantic labels are just about perfect, there are no marks or defects at all and both labels still look in very clean and bright as new condition, even when tilted towards the light it is difficult to spot more than just one or two short light spindle traces on each side, this shows that this album has been very well looked after since new and has only ever been treated with care. The track 'Celebration Day' is wrongly credited on side-one as just 'Celebration', i am not certain how many copies exist with this mis-spelling but i doubt that there are too many. These labels are in top condition and really cannot be faulted at all.

The fully laminated gatefold sleeve is the far more desirable early UK issue made by E.J.Day, this original uk issue has the album track listing on the inside right gatefold, many slightly later uk plum/red issues came in a inferior thinner card German made gatefold sleeve with the track-listing switched to the inside left panel, this sleeve had 'Made In Germany' printed in black text in the back/bottom right corner and this just never looked right to me, the early uk made gatefolds had no back cover text at all. This original E.J.Day cover is in really superb excellent+ condition, most of these original thickly laminated Led Zep III covers suffer from unsightly age yellowing around the edges and some nasty looking lamination creases and lines but this cover is just great with no lamination shifts or lines at all and only extremely minor ageing. The very colourful rotating wheel is still very firmly fixed and turns easily with no problems at all. the original poly-lined inner sleeve is in very clean defect free condition with just some extremely minor ageing and some light creasing.

It really would be very difficult to find a better playing and sounding original UK copy than this one on offer here. This is just a brilliant early A5-B5 first pressing that will not disappoint.

I pack my records very well, the album will be removed from the gatefold cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
