Description

Artist;                                     Led Zeppelin

Album title;                            II

Year ;                                     1969

Catalogue & matrix #’s;     588198 A//5 119 / 588198?B//4 143

All records are graded according the UK Record Collector grading system 2008 with +/- indicating the higher or lower end of the grade.

Cover;     NM / M-

The lighter brown very 1st press Bomber variant (I also possess an A3/B3 copy for comparison). Full, vibrant colours just as you would have bought it from the shop back in 1969. Small, original shop sticker is untouched and still in place on front cover. Remarkably, the white is still white. No stains, writing, tears, rubbing, ringwear etc. 2 very hard to see small, unobtrusive creases on rear (see photo) – these are highlighted by the sun and are much more difficult to see during normal daylight. Spine is perfect and text fully legible - UNBELIEVABLE! Square corners. Inside GF in immaculate condition. Maybe some very minor colour loss on outside edges, but not much – especially for this very difficult cover. Must be one of the very best very 1st press covers left for this album. I really don’t think you will ever find better.

Vinyl;       NM (visual)

No warps, scratches, marks. Just some wispy removal lines. Beautiful, jet black sheen on this thick slab of vinyl.

M- (audio)

This really has not been played much at all and even then very carefully. Plays through VERY cleanly. Maybe, and I say maybe, a little background static during the quieter passages but nothing even approaching obtrusive. Extremely well produced and pressed this album has excellent dynamics with a crisp top end and very full bottom. Would prove near impossible to beat (my A3/B3 copy does…..well that’s what I tell myself as I paid a small fortune for it).

Labels;        M- both perfectly clean with minimal spindle wear.

Inner;           NM

Other info; Has The Kiling Floor credit on side 2 label.

Musically this album is one of my absolute favourites which is why I own so many copies of it. Sonically, this for me beats Classic Records 200 g, Japanese SHM CDs etc. The bass slam is something to behold throughout never letting up, as is the stereo panning in the psychedelic passage of Whole Lotta Love. And this copy plays so near perfectly that you can afford to turn the volume up as high as you dare without frying your tweeters and permanently inverting your woofers. You will not be disappointed.

Terms and conditions –PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Payment to be made within 48 hours of auction end. I only accept payment by Paypal - no surcharges apply to these payments.

Record will be removed from original inner and placed inside separate inner and packaged outside of sleeve to prevent knifing in transit. I reuse cruciform boxes etc and stiffeners/bubblewrap for P & P purposes. As a buyer of vinyl myself (see my feedback) you can rest assured that records will be very well packaged to make sure the item reaches you in the condition it leaves me. I take lots of extra photos for full peace of mind for both parties and want you to be as happy with the item as I have been. This is a heavy item (full insurance is mandatory) and is expensive to post from Denmark.
