Well here it is, the best sounding version of Led Zeppelin II EVER and one of the most collectible albums EVER. The mighty, mighty Led Zeppelin II mastered by Robert Ludwig.
As the story goes, upon its release in October 1969, this edition was cut so hot that it sent needles skipping all across America. Needles of the time just couldn't handle the power contained in the grooves. The Ludwig press was discontinued in favor of a more tame (and more lame...) reissue.
There aren't many of these in circulation, and if you are lucky enough to find one, they're usually beat due to the nature of the hot mix.
This copy is not beat...far from it.
Graded at a strong VG++/EX, there are some light marks that do not cause any major issues. No skips!! The album plays with the occasional low level tick common to any album that is 50+ years old. The album received a 30 minute ultra sonic clean and will arrive to you in a poly lined sleeve.
The jacket grades at VG+ with wear as seen in the photos. The original Atlantic inner is included.
If you're reading this you know what the Ludwig Zep II press is all about. It's not hype. This is one of the best sounding albums I've ever heard and you - and your neighbors - will thank me.
