Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Led Zeppelin II (2)' 1969 RARE TRANSITIONAL vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is one of the final pressings in 1969 released on the Red/Plum Atlantic label. Around this time, Atlantic placed stickers onto the inner gatefold stating the new catalogue number - K40037. It also features the 'Killing Floor' song title on the Side One label - this was changed from The Lemon Song after a claim of plagiarism. VERY RARE and doesn't show up too often!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a decent amount of light scratches and hairline marks on the record...none that I can feel however! Still retains a nice gloss and shine but please note it does have a decent amount of light, wispy, non-feelable long scratches. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD+. Side 2 - same as Side 1! Looks well-played but also well looked-after considering it's age.
Audio: I have played this album in it's entirety. It is rated as a strong VERY GOOD! There are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! The record is very punchy with a great warm 60s sound and crisp highs. There is some light background crackle in the background but it doesn't affect the overall audio. A deep clean will help with this but it's not a problem. There are a few random ticks and pops too but they are non-repetitive and very random, only in the background unless on extremely quiet parts but that doesn't happen too often! Overall, a great copy to listen to!
Sleeve: The original 1969 stereo gatefold sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD-. The front of the sleeve features a pen mark and a name in the top left (might come out, I'm not too sure and haven't attempted). It has slightly discoloured over time and has light creasing towards the edges. The edges are worn but are NOT SPLIT! Slight fraying to the opening edge. The inner gatefold has some light discolouration to the top left. The sticker is 100% intact and with some expected discolouration. The spine is readable with some obvious visual wear. The rear of the sleeve has some creasing and scratching. Overall, it houses the record very well but has seen better days!
