LED ZEPPELIN I RARE ATLANTIC LABEL AND MIX LP. PURPLE/BROWN STEREO LABELS that were only produced on Atlantic releases when pressed at RCA Records Pressing plant, Indianapolis. This label is rare and only appeared on a few titles from around 8130 to 8200. The Led Zeppelin album error commands premium prices, since not only is the label in error, but side 1 of the album is a different mix from the regular pressing.
Also side 2 is different from the standard issue. There is a long pause between "Black Mountain Side" and "Communication Breakdown", where the standard issue had no silence at all. And there is an unusually long silence between "Communication Breakdown" and "I Can't Quit You Baby", much longer than was on the standard issue. Condition is Used. LP Overall is in G to G+ condition. Several scuffs and scratches. No skips. Some spots aren’t as noisy as others so I won’t rate it any higher than that. I don’t believe this is the original album cover that came with it. There’s a seam split on the side. Hand writing on the front.You can always find one of those in a used record bin. I have ultrasonically cleaned it several times and I don’t believe it will get much better than G to G+ sounding. Still a very extremely piece of Led Zeppelin history. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
