LED ZEPPELIN first album
Vinyl LP: Atlantic 588171
FIRST PRESS Matrix 588171 A//1 1 1 5 , Matrix 588171 B//1 1 5 1
(There is no crossing out in the matrix numbers)
Superhype / Jewel credits, shows the misnumbering on Side One.
Vinyl has hairlines and a couple of scuffs. Plays with mild background noise in places, it does not overpower the music though. A few faint clicks in a few places but again this is not overpowering. No skips or jumps. Would say grade is VG to VG-.
Labels show small evidence of spindle trails. There is a name written on Side One.
Turquoise lettering on front cover. Grey bar at bottom of front cover. If held at the right angle in the right light the indentation of a name is just visible top right of front cover. Laminate is intact on front and back, just slightly lifted on back near spine. Some creasing. Wear to corners but no wear at all to edges. Spine is pictured. I would grade VG.
Inner sleeve is the blue edged "Stereo" variety, poly lined, date coded 10-69 and is in very very good condition with no tears or edge splits.
(There are shadows and reflections in the picture.)

PACKAGING: Vinyl records are packaged for shipment in professional high quality Record Mailers. A minimum of 2 strong card stiffeners are inserted . Records are removed from the outer sleeve (and inner sleeve if this is not of a generic variety) to prevent sleeve edge splits. Mailers are marked “FRAGILE”, and “PLEASE DO NOT BEND” front and back.
Grading:
Please note I try to play all records. Where I think it is warranted I will give specific details of sound quality in the item description.
Mint minus (M-)
cover – like new, with no defects vinyl – like new, likely played only a few times, no surface marks, no sound defectsExcellent (EX) cover – shows signs of minor wear & creasing vinyl – slight superficial marks that do not affect play
Very Good (VG) cover – normal wear & tear on the cover, light ring wear for example vinyl – shows marks & light scratches that do not have a major effect on the sound quality
Good (G) cover – has scuffing of edges, ring wear, large split spine etc vinyl – scratches and scuffs, will play thru but there will be surface noise and/or pops and clicks.
A + or - indicates minor variations in grading.
