LED ZEPPELIN - 'I' - BOTH 1ST AND 2ND UK PRESSING LPS (ATLANTIC 588 171)
A superb chance for a dedicated Led Zep fan to acquire both the 1st UK (Superhype credits/turquoise lettering sleeve) as well as a really clean 2nd UK pressing (Warner/Jewel Music credits/orange text grey stripe sleeve).
1ST PRESSING.
The record is in VG condition. A solid example, there are light surface/hairline markings to the playing surfaces. Not extensive, please note there is a light scratch on B2 'Black Mountain Side' which causes a small jump. This is only for a very small period and the rest of the LP plays through very well with only light surface noise in the quieter sections - still sounding raw and punchy as ever!
Matrix: *CORRECTED 2nd 8* 588 171 A//1 1 2 & 588 171 B//1 1 8 1.
The sleeve is in VG condition. A solid example with no rips or tears, there is some creasing which can be seen on the laminate. The colours are nice and sharp with the spine fully legible.
2ND PRESSING
The record is presented in superb EX condition. A really top copy here with only a couple of very small, fine and wispy hairline markings to the playing surfaces. A small name is written in pen on the side 1 label (elsewhere very crisp, sharp and clean).
Matrix: (Corrected 2nd 8) 588171 A//1 1 3 43 & 588171 B//1 1 3 24.
The sleeve is in VG+ condition. There are some light and minor creases to the (orange lettering, grey strips) sleeve - these are never major. There is a quite light 'rippling' effect on the opening edge (something that is sometimes associated with water damage), however this is certainly not a major feature and is only a light effect.
NOTE: All images of the record in the listing are of the 1st pressing, send me a message here if you would like pics of the 2nd UK copy, presumably eBay lets me do this...
