Description

This is very first LP by Led Zeppelin as it was first pressed and seen. This cover has the rare and best Turquoise Lettering which was only on the cover for very short time, there was also a Silver strip which was not on the latter cover along the bottom edge The first covers were printed by MacNeill Press LTD.

First Pressing on ATLANTIC label 588171 with the "SUPERHYPE"label credits Matrix numbers are,  SIDE 1;-  588171 A#1,  SIDE 2:-  588171 B#1.

The Sleeve is very nice copy its in near top condition its got slight signs of storage and general wear. Easy marks as VG++ would be Ex but for there is very small marks (more viewable from Back) From Staples which have been removed along Top edge and are not visually intrusive. There is some Lamination lifting along the Spine edge, No Rips or Stains or writting Spine Lettering is easy Readable. The only other viewable marks are Few a Lamination Creases.

There is also something else which stands out on this copy of this sleeve I have not seem before. I can't clam anything about it as not been able to find out a thing about it, but there is extra text above the ATLANTIC Logo its words GNOME in white text it does not look like it been added it does look part of the sleeve.

The Vinyl VG+ There is no hard scratches it does show some light surface marks on the vinyl surface. It plays nice with no Clicks or Jumps/Skips Sound is still tight and clear There is some Crackle more audible in the low passages and between tracks but still sounds clear, Still a nice playable copy of this hard to find classic.

Labels are clean without writting and damage the Superhype Credit is clear on both side of the LP. there is some spindle marks around the Centre Hole.

A very fair and playable copy of the first work by one of the best bands from the era.

I always grade with care andI have been collecting for many years and I give full Story with all my items (Un-like Some people). My Grading is based on Record Collector. There is no Hold Price on this item so you can bid away Please ask anything else.
