At all points throughout the record the vinyl teeter-toters between Vg+ and Vg++ on a listening level. Side One leans more toward a strong VG++ audio grading, and Side Two more toward VG+, mostly due to the number of quiet passages on that side. There is of course some background noise, and some pops and clicks, but mostly noticeable on the quiet passages. The album maintains much of the original lustre and has no marks that are sensitive to the touch, and has no skips whatsoever. I'm assesing this strict audio grading in accordance of a Sumiko Blue-Point cartridge tracking at 2-grams, and listening on quality headphones with no outside distractions. Light wispy markings are indeed present, but this album is still extremely audibly enjoyable, and the mono mix is truly a real treat to experience!
There are a couple of crackles during two revolutions before the first song starts on side one, but then things settle in just fine. I'm not tyring to underplay the vinyl by any means, because if I felt that it wasn't a worthy copy for offer, I wouldn't put it up for auction in the first place. I just want to stress that it indeed is not a mint copy, but yet still a most acceptable, desireable, and extremely enjoyable copy for your Led Zeppelin collection. And we both know that the LP is rarely seen these days in it's MONO state
(available only as a promotional issue to radio DJ's)

I'm listening to the LP on my headphones as I'm writing this description, and it sounds plenty sweet!.

The Gatefold cover has a white sticker at the top right that lists the song titles. This sticker was printed for their consumer release, therefore in the bottom corner of the sticker lists 'stereo" SD-7225. I will 100% guarantee that this is a mono pressing (issued only to radio), not only by my listening and knowledge of distinguishing mono vs. stereo pressings, but also by the white label inner label with the absence of the 'SD" before the 7255 catalog number, as well as the orange "d/j copy * monaural * " sticker affixed to the front cover. The gatefold cover has some corner wear, a black line (looks like from a sharpie marker) just above the orange promo sticker and the top edge of the back cover has a 2½" seam split in the middle section. The original textured lyric inner sleeve is included, with a 3" seam split at the middle of the right side edge, and a 3" seam split at the middle of the bottom edge.

Again, I whole-heartily believe this copy to be most worthy of your collection, as it has been of mine for many years. Feel free to check out (and cross reference) my feedback and bid with confidence!

Vinyl will be professionally cleaned on the VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine just prior to packing to insure maximum fidelity, and placed in a brand new inner sleeve.
