Lovely example with Superhype credits on the label, making this one of the first copies with the now-familiar orange lettering. It has matrix numbers ending A//1 and B//1.
Detailed description
Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been very well cared for. I have played the entire record and it sounds awesome. Under bright light side one shows just fine sleeve-removal type marks and a couple of hairlines. Side two has a handful of short, soft scratches, but these have minimal impact on the sound, causing six clicks in Your time is gonna come, and a click which is audible on and off during Black Mountain Side, but it is hard to make out among the Tabla drums. On side one I noticed eleven very soft clicks (audible in the left channel only) at the end of Babe I'm gonna leave you and a couple (audible in only the right channel) in You shook me. I did not notice any other repetitive clicks anywhere else on the record. There is some background noise and light crackle audible in the run-ins/outs and silent grooves and in the quiet bits and intros/fades of tracks such as Babe I'm gonna leave you, Your time is gonna come, or I can't quit you Baby, but this is mentioned purely for the sake of completeness as there is nothing significant and it certainly doesn't detract from the music. This early pressing delivers a huge, powerful sound with no distortion and the loud sections in tracks like Communication Breakdown and How many more times sound fantastic. This is a lovely playable copy and was a pleasure to listen to.
Labels: See photos. Both labels look great with just typical light spindle marking. There is a tiny rough area in the Atlantic logo on side one but this is barely noticeable.
Sleeve: The sleeve is really nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just light signs of use. There are a few oxbow creases near the opening and a few creases near the edges and the usual laminate lift either side of the spine. There is a crease near the centre of the front cover in the underside of the Zeppelin (which I have tried to show in the last photo). A really nice, clean example.
Edge/corner wear: There is minimal wear to the edges, spine and opening and moderate corner wear.
Inner sleeve: Original poly-lined inner.
Other inserts: n/a
Detracting features not covered above - none.

I have 100% positive feedback because my records are always described accurately and fairly. All photographs are of the actual item you will get. I will always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item.
Please check out my other items and take advantage of reduced postage costs for multiple buys.
Unless stated otherwise, vinyl is visually graded. I play grade records where possible but there just aren't enough hours in the day to play them all, so I usually restrict play grades to collectors' items and rare records which are particularly hard to find in top audio condition or other records where a visual inspection has identified flaws on the playing surface. A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and will determine whether a record has been cared-for properly, but it will not detect static or crackle caused by dust in the grooves or other invisible sources. A visual grading will provide an indication of how a record might play, but it is not a guarantee of the record's sound quality, even if it looks perfect.
First pressings and originals: Many of the records I sell are first pressings and, if this is the case, I will usually identify them as such and may include the relevant matrix information etc in the description. However, sometimes I cannot be certain whether a record is a first pressing or not. In these instances I will often use the word 'original' to identify a pressing which I think might be a first pressing, but do not know for sure (but which is certainly NOT a recent pressing or audiophile release etc). If you specifically want a first pressing, and know how to identify it, please ask the relevant questions before you bid.
Feel free to ask any questions about the item (but please don’t leave it to the last minute as I may not get a chance to reply).

POSTAGE & PACKING
I care about the records I sell and believe that they need to be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that they survive their journey through the post. Vinyl is removed from the sleeve for posting and the contents will be protected with rigid cardboard stiffeners. All packages are labelled "Do not bend" and securely sealed with "FRAGILE" parcel tape.
I support the use of recycled materials and so some or all of the packaging you receive your records in may have been previously used or be made from old cardboard boxes. If you wish your item to be sent in entirely new packaging please let me know before paying for it. Thanks.
