The clearout continues...

I've a shedload of records to put on here, but I'm starting with this one. The official blurb is below. It plays superbly, with a couple of crackles on the run-in. I have only played it once, just to transfer it to digital, and having listened many times to this un-tweaked recording, I have found no discernible problems. There are three "clicks" on Heartbreaker, and a few on Stairway to Heaven, but they do NOT skip or interfere with the song.

Very punchy bass, nice smooth drum sound in the background. Robert is a little trebly - when wasn't he?? And Jimmy's guitar is mixed in really well. As you can see, the cover is not mint, but still very clean. Please note that it is NOT different colour front and rear - that is merely the exposure compensation with the camera I used. The record will be sent with its original and a fresh slipcase, as well as a clear plastic outer to keep 'er clean. All in all, great nick for something that will be thirty in a year's time.

Because I have transferred this to digital, I will slip a USB key with the recording on it into the final package. That way, unless you really want to, you won't need to play the record.

The official stuff
This is a vinyl disc produced by the BBC Transcription Services (Catalogue # 4194/S) which features a vintage Led Zeppelin "In Concert" appearance recorded in March 1971 at the Paris Theatre, London.

The concert was first broadcast in April 1971 and was the most requested ever of the "In Concert" series. This disc was produced in 1983. The tracks featured in the recording, which is introduced by Richard Skinner, are:
