Classic Records US ORIGINAL 1997
BBC SESSIONS 4 LP BOX SET
These are the original Classic Records US 180g pressings with insert and the card picture inner sleeves
(together with their Classic Records poly-lined inner sleeves).
The box even contains the original square of bubblewrap, as packed in the space inside the lid, for shipping safety by the factory.
Classic Records specialised in audiophile LP reissues and used custom-made, tube mastering equipment from the best original sources.
This is the 1997 pressing (under licence from Atlantic Records) Catalogue No: SD 83061-1
and NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the later 2005 re-pressing, the Italian bootlegs / the later European copies; etc, etc, etc.
The outer box is dated 1997 (as is the paper insert); the vinyl is 180g,
the Classic Records picture labels each have the 32mm diameter groove (as opposed to the 70mm groove on the later, re-pressed LPs).
And, for the real experts out there... yes, the run-out lettering is correct on the two LPs that I first opened in 1997....
These Classic Records 1997 box sets are long out-of-production and VERY RARE in this condition;
many considering this pressing to be best audiophile version.
I received this as a gift back in 1997, just a couple of days after I had ordered a set for myself....
This copy has sat, wrapped, on my LP shelves since then, surviving three house moves and an overseas posting ...
(Smoke & pet-free home by the way...)
The only fault is a small, shallow pressure mark on the top right of the front of the box, caused by an aftermarket LP shelf divider I once had.

When I first opened the box, I test-played Track 1, Side 1 on the first and second LPs
(using a Gyrodec / SME IV arm, with a nearly-new Ortofon Rohmann cartridge) - the other 2 LPs are unopened and sealed.
The box is clean, un-faded and has perfect, firm corners.
A genuine gem of a boxset that would grace any Led Zeppelin collection
