Description

Original UK stereo LP, release date 1971 on the PLUM & ORANGE Atlantic label, catalogue number: 2401012 deluxe Matrix nos: side1) 2401012A#3133 side 2) 2401012B#31210 Condition of cover/record: EX / NEAR MINT (Grading as used by Record Collector) The cover is in pristine condition, apart from the following blemishes: There is one crease to the front cover approx 1&½ inches long and approx 3 inches from the ‘open’ edge. The rear cover has 3 creases each approx 2 inches long, all at or near the ‘open’ edge – see photo (top left rear cover). There is very minor wear to the top and bottom edges, I mention this for accuracy of description. The spine has approx 1 inch of wear, which is approx 1/8th inch wide, but is in ‘dashes’ not a solid wear mark. The inner sleeve is the original rough-textured one with lyrics to ‘Stairway to heaven’ on one side and track list on the other – this was never used to store the record (a white one was used instead), consequently the original is perfect with no creases, wear or tears. The two labels have some light spindle marks, which can be seen under bright light, but are very unobtrusive. The record plays like new – I could only detect approx 5 or 6 crackles on side 1, and none on side two. There are no loud clicks or background/surface noise. This record was cleaned and played before the auction to ensure accuracy of description. Track list:black dog, rock and roll, the battle for evermore, stairway to heaven/ misty mountain hop, four sticks, going to California, when the levee breaks. This item has no reserve on it.
