LED ZEPPELIN II

1969 UK maroon / red 'white band' label Atlantic 588198 LP with Gatefold Sleeve . Complete with Original polylined Liner Sleeve .

Original First Issue - which not only contains 'The Lemon Song' label title print on side one , but also contains the very rare label error on side two label - 'Livin' Lovin' WRECK' . This mistake was noticed very early in the initial pressing run , and was immediately rectified to the correct 'Livin' Lovin' Maid' on all subsequent issues .... very few of these Original Issues show up now ... a great rarity ....

The Gatefold Sleeve is also the Original 'light brown' colour issue - once again , only used on very early issues ........

The disc has mild use only  .... bright surfaces .... there is just one mild 2cm surface mark on track two , side one .... the rest of the disc surface area is mark free ..... bright , crisp , clean labels .... light spindle sheen only  .... The discs plays  through  well , great sound quality  : Graded Visually VERY GOOD / EXCELLENT minus (soley due to the small mark) - Aurally EXCELLENT  condition.

The sleeve has a small punch hole at top left hand corner - I was told this could mean an early press copy , but cannot say for sure ....

The  sleeve has some moderate wear  ....  quite clean .... no creasing .... mild sign of ring impression .... signs of edge rub evident   : Graded at GOOD to VERY GOOD  condition (remember most sellers would grade higher)

All items are graded Audio / Visually , and played on a high grade system

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I understand the requirements in the gradings of discs and sleeves , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly

The discs are placed seperately from the sleeves within the package to avoid splitting or damage . Items are sent promptly - usually within one working day of payment .
