LED ZEPPELIN 1st Album 1st PRESS TURQUOISE COVER UNCORRECTED MATRIX RARE.


So this is the Holy Grail of any Zeppelin Collection being the very 1st Pressing of the 1st album with the withdrawn turquoise sleeve, uncorrected matrixes and Superhype credits!

The rare cover is in nice condition with a laminate crease bottom left. There are no tears but a little laminate lift on the rear by the spine. The grey bar is present at the bottom of the cover. There is a little shelf wear at the bottom which has caused some small rubbing, there are no splits. The spine is fully readable. I'm trying to describe this the best I can but please view the pics as they form part of the description.

The record has as said above the uncorrected matrixes which are:-

Side one, 588171 A//1 1 1 1.

Side two, 588171 B//1 1 S 2.

The vinyl surfaces retain their sheen very well, under an artificial light I can see some hairlines which may have been caused by a rogue fingernail etc. These are not feelable.

There is also a slight small area of blooming on the surfaces which I'm sure was caused by the poly inner it was stored in for a number of years (I have seen this before on records with that type of inner sleeve). Neither of the above can be heard on playback but there is some static crackle in especially in the quieter moments and silent grooves. A professional clean should improve all of the above. There are no skips or sticks on this record.

The Plum and Red labels are really nice with no stickers, glue residue or writing, just a couple of tiny rub marks, again please view the pics as they tell the story.

The record comes with a period correct die cut inner sleeve and the Atlantic/Warner's brown card die cut inner sleeve too.

This really is a nice package, not mint by thoroughly usable.
