LEAD BELLY "LEADBELLY'S LAST SESSIONS VOLUME TWO" double LP (Folkways Records)

You are bidding on a really great copy of Leadbelly's "Last Sessions" Volume Two vinyl record set.  This double album was released in 1953 on Folkways Records and contains the final recordings of the legendary Leadbelly.  Includes classic tunes such as "Easy Rider" "Ain't Going Drink No More (De Kalb Blues)", "Rock Island Line," "Leaving Blues" and "Yellow Gal."  Plus, the original versions of popular songs like "Midnight Special" (popularized by Johnny River and again by Creedence Clearwater Revival), "Irene" (covered by The Weavers, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, as well as The Meat Puppets) and "House Of The Rising Sun" (made famous by The Animals).  42 tracks in total, plus commentary in-between songs and informative 8-page insert book.

This is a beautiful set:  both vinyl records are in Excellent condition, with only light surface marks that do not skip or affect play;  the 8-page insert book is in Near Mint condition;  the cover/case does have some shelf wear around the corners.

NOTE: the record labels on the first record are the same on both sides (both are labeled as "SIDE II" and "B"), so someone made a "I" mark next to the "SIDE" info and wrote "A" next to "B" in order to differentiate.  I'm sure this could be erased or wiped off, but I don't want to do it in case the next owner wants to be able to know which side is which.  However, if you erase the mark, the record would be more valuable as a "misprint" error.

GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS:

M (mint) Record is new, shiny, never played.

NM (near mint) Record is like new, probably played a few times, but it doesn't effect the quality of a sound.

EX (excellent) Record in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise.

VG+ (very good plus) Record has been played more times, it has more marks and surface noise, it doesn't skip.

VG (very good) Record has been played many times, may be more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing.

G (good) Record is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find a better copy
