MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original Barclay Records very first High Fidelity MONO press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1966 by Goluboff Industrias Fonográficas S.A. (Goluboff Records), catalog number BCY 9, with hand etched matrix numbers LDE-25153 A in Side 1 and LDP- LDE-25153 BI in Side 2, with unusual white/black Barclay Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Amazing rarity for Jimmy Page or Led Zeppelin lovers, fans and collectors!!!

“BRITISH PERCUSSION” was originally released in 1965 and we didn’t have to wait much to see this great and legendary even though obscure album released here in Chile because it was released in 1966 and like so many times in that period we got it with an UNIQUE COVER made of two single sheets of paper for front and back covers and kept together for a plastic bag. Front cover has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE which shows a vibrating cymbal with the name of the band shortened “London All Star” and album title written with red lettering, Barclay Records logo and catalog number at top right corner and text “Multiphonie Stereo” at bottom right corner. Back cover is also different, it has a very simple design, the album title is written in English only, it keeps the original review by Bobbie Graham but written in Spanish only, with the tracklist written in English, translated to Spanish. In labels the album title, name of the band and tracklist are written in English only, with full credits for songwriters of each song and you can see the names included: Jimmy Page at 18 years as lead guitar and co-writer of 3 songs (!!!), John  McLaughlin, Andy White or Arthur Greenslade. Even Jimmy Page said one day this record was a myth!!! But… it’s a reality and if original French issue is already a top rarity, just wonder the level of rarity this Chilean issue is!!! So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of this already rare and obscure album by Le London All Star and keep in mind the UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE BACK COVER, UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and UNIQUE WHITE LABELS!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG or VG+ condition, clean and complete, with only some age browning, general wear in all edges, more evident in corners and in the mouth edge, with some little rips, almost impossible to avoid with this kind of so fragile cover. The record is in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, light hairlines and very light scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great VG+ or EX- condition, clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear, some light age browning and the reasons to downgrade it, the writing in Side 1 and the faint blemishes in Side 2. The sound is a really nice surprise, it’s in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise(surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only some light crackles here and there, more evident in the silent parts between songs, which don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS, sure not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but still with a very nice glossy look, clear labels and a more than decent and respectable sound quality after about 53 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget the UNIQUE COVER, the UNIQUE BACK COVER design, the UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and the UNIQUE WHITE Barclay Records LABELS!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
