LARRY YOUNG “Unity” RVG, Blue Note BLP 4221 Mono Vinyl

This is “VAN GELDER”-stamped pressing of LARRY YOUNG’s “Unity” on the “New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4221. Musicians include Larry Young – Hammond B-3 organ, Woody Shaw – trumpet, Joe Henderson – tenor saxophone, Elvin Jones – drums.

VINYL plays with very light background noise which is largely overwhelmed by the music. Plays beautifully overall. Ensemble sections are very clear, dynamic and strong. No distortion. No skips. Very Good gloss. A couple non-feelable hairline marks. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, some spindle wear. See photos.

COVER is in very good shape. Minor ringwear. Corners worn. Spine and seams very good. See photos. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket is clean, with red, blue and green ink notation. Please see photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
