One of the most innovative chamber groups you'll find, the Kronos Quartet often plays a gamut of music that ranges from pop and rock to world and classical.
You'll just as soon be done listening to their Vivaldi, when they cross the line and start playing PURPLE HAZE by Jimi Hendrix.
Always an eclectic musical trip, this disc, recorded by Keith Johnson of Reference Recordings, is a superlative exhibition of works written especially for the group, and will stun you, as the sonics have been recognized on the TAS list as one of the best recordings of its kind, ever.
So be prepared to hear two violins, a viola, and a cello play THE FUNKY CHICKEN, ENANTIODROMIA HIGH, THE JUNK FOOD BLUES, DARK RAZZ, and WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE HOODOO MEAT BUCKET?, among others.
A fabulous record, getting rarer by the day, this, the much preferred 45RPM version, here in a cover crisp, like new; record inside shows very little sign of play, could be mint.
One of my favorite records on the TAS list. A joy for its uniqueness.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $14 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $5, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
