Kiss Double Platinum 2xLP 1978 1st Press Compilation Insert & Merch Form VG+/VG+.
For auction is a great listeners copy of Double Platinum by American hard rock band, KISS. The band's first greatest hits compilation album, released as a double LP in April 1978. It was a commercial success, peaking at #22 on the Billboard 200. It features the band’s most popular songs from their first six albums from 1974-1977. This includes their most successful hit single, the ballad, “Beth” which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976. Two of the band’s other US Top-20 hits, “Hard Luck Woman” (#15) and “Calling Dr. Love” (#16) are also included. Other highlights are Kiss’ signature song, “Rock and Roll All Nite” and the classic, “Detroit Rock City”. Double Platinum has been certified platinum in the US with more than a million copies sold. This copy is a 1st Terre Haute Pressing that includes two inserts. A replica platinum record and a merchandise ordering form.
Vinyl is play graded VG+. Both discs have some very light visible surface marks but nothing close to deep. Both play with faint background noise at time that is far from overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.
Gatefold cover is also in VG+ condition. Minor shelf wear on seams of scuffing but no splits. Title is legible. Lower right corner is dented. Lower left corner has been snipped off. On front, upper left side there is a small crease. Minor wear on both open edges. Ring wear on front, back and inside gatefold. Please see pics.
