The record looks like it's in really good shape. There are just a small handful of Light (at worst) scratches and/or smudges on either side. 1 or 2 of them are a couple inches long but all look Very Light to Light, at worst, and I don't think that any of them would be likely to affect the sound of this record much, if at all. VG
The insert is in great shape as well. No seam splits at all. No tears, folds, or stains and just a bit of general, overall wear, from handling is visible. VG+
The cover looks good too but does have a few minor dings in it. There is Very Light ring wear just barely visible on front and back. There are the usual handful of short veins near the edges and also one or two longer but faint veins in one or two spots. One corner has a small bend the length of which is only about an inch. The four corner tips have some pretty significant wear, the worst of which I would say was between Moderate and severe, however, the damage is just at the tips of those corners. The spine edge has Moderate wear and some of the title text is worn away. The shelf and top edges also have Moderate wear, leaning towards Light. There is a name and a 3 word message written on the INSIDE of the cover in very small writing. It is only visible if you look inside the cover. Overall this cover still looks really good from front and back, because the worst of the wear is confined to the corners and thin edges. G+
This was one of my favorite records for years and it looks like I at least tried to take good care of it. This particular copy was purchased from the merchandise table at a Killing Time show at a club called The Anthrax in Norwalk Connecticut in 1989. I believe it was the same month that it was released.
Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
