Description
Hi there, presented here is one of the most highly sought after NWOBHM/Rock releases - "Kent Rocks" Compilation, released on White Witch Records, Catalogue Number WIT.K.R.101. Released 1981. This LP very seldomly appears, and in this condition, ie Near Mint - virtually never. It is also very uniquely presented, with the LP housed in a plain die-cut white sleeve, and a two sided full 12" sized picture insert, placed in a clear PVC sleeve. (This item still has a small price sticker on the PVC Sleeve - Barnaby Recordings, Gillingham £2.99)
Front cover pictured, reverse side has track details and record label details. I shall now describe the condition:-
The LP itself - Both sides have an good shine and lustre, with only hairline marks visible when held up to a strong light. Possibly only 2 or so plays. The LP plays through superbly, with only minor surface noise on both sides. This obviously can vary from player to player. On the very outside edge of the LP there is a very small (approx 1mm) indentation, this appears to be as a result of the way that the LP was pressed.
The Labels - Both Labels are shiny and clear, absolutely minimal spindle wear on either side. A nice lustre to both labels. My pictures do not serve these well enough. You can see from my picture that the Side One label has a printing overflow near the centre hole. This is not a tear or additional damage.
The Picture Insert - Lovely condition, very minor wear. No obvious feathering, creases or tears.
The Inner Sleeve - Very Good condition, this is a standard type white inner.
PVC Sleeve - Very Good condition, standard PVC sleeve. Has slight ripples that appear on most PVC bags after this amount of time. Apart from the vintage price sticker, the PVC sleeve could be replaced if so wished.
