Description
This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Kenny Dorham “’Round About Midnight…” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1524. The flat rim playing surface appears to be in excellent condition; however, there are sporadic tics throughout, particularly in the mid-section of the first track of Side 2, where the tics are more prominent; the music is clear and crisp with no distortion. The coated frame Lexington Ave. cover is in exceptional condition – bright, clean, and immaculate throughout – with sharp corners and unworn seams; slight 2” crease at the upper right corner; 2 ½” crease and 1” bump at the lower right corner. Personnel include J.R. Monterose, Kenny Burrell, Bobby Timmons, Sam Jones, and Arthur Edgehill. $500.00.
