Description
This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of “Kenny Burrell” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1543. The flat rim playing surface is generally in excellent condition, with a nice luster; other than a few inaudible scuffs, the record plays clear and crisp throughout with just infrequent non-repetitive tics. The coated frame West 63rd St. Andy Warhol cover has 1 ½” wear at the top of the spine and 1 ½” opening at the bottom; the bottom seam has an 8” repair from a split that had been taped, leaving slight residue on the front and a more prominent stain on the bottom of the back; the back slick shows moderate shelf wear, writing at the top, and a ¼” chip at the upper right corner.
