1958 Original DG 12” LP / 47 West 63rd NYC label address, deep groove, ear & RVG in dead wax both sides, no “R”

DISC:  numerous surface marks both sides but disc plays surprisingly well –  sound quality is affected by some of the surface marks but it plays through without any skips or sticks – plays with pops and crackle in spots but still a nice play for one who is mainly concerned with the musical content

COVER:  nice solid cover – Andy Warhol did the cover art and it is a classic – front shows light wear and chipping of the laminate at open end, back shows moderate soiling and a strip of old tape to cover a little tear to the paper, name on back, seams and spine show a little wear in spots but are not split - NY 23 cover address

SIDEMEN:  Louis Smith (trumpet), Junior Cook  & Tina Brooks (tenor sax), Duke Jordan & Bobby Timmons (piano), Sam Jones (bass), Art Blakey (drums)

COMMENTS:  original pressing of a very collectible Blue Note session
