This auction is for a fully signed copy of Keane's Hopes and Fears vinyl lp, together with a HMV wristband.

On the week Keane released Hopes & Fears they did 2 gig & signing sessions at HMV stores. One was at the Oxford Street store in London, & the other at the Birmingham High Street store. This record was signed in Birmingham.

Admittance to the gig & signing session was strictly limited. Only people who had obtained wristbands from the store when it opened on the day of the signing session could gain entrance (2 wristbands per person). I would guess that they could get no more than a hundred people in the store space where Keane were playing, so only 50 pairs of wristbands would have been distributed.

After playing 5 songs, the band sat and signed merchandise. Tim Rice-Oxley seemed a bit overawed by it all, he told me he couldn't believe this many people had wanted to see them (100!! Little did he know....).

The front cover of this album has been signed in black marker pen by all 3 band members. These are genuine, original signatures (not copies), straight from the marker pens the band members were holding.

The individually numbered (1242) gatefold record sleeve, inner sleeve and vinyl are all in mint condition.

Also included in the auction is one of the HMV wristbands that allowed me entrance to the signing session (shown in photo's). The wording on the wristband is 'HMV present Keane Hopes and Fears'

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine piece of signed Keane merchandise.
