Description
Offered for sale from my collection is the relatively rare Indigo album #Lp-504 "The Sound Of Kathy Young" by Kathy Young and The Innocents. The Cover grades NM- and the Disc grades NM-.
I doubt if this record was played very much at all. The vinyl shows that great irridescent lustre present on new and nearly new records. And no - there is no staining on the jacket - what you see is a lighting shadow. For the sake of completeness, there is a slight amount of rub on the jacket in a couple of small areas. This does not detract from the overall appearance. And there are a couple of shallow scratches that are not heard on my player.
This is a no question about it "first pressing" original. There are a few minor detractions that keep this from being called NM, to me and other fussy collectors. Many dealers I've seen would grade this as NM, as it was when I bought it 25 years ago. But in reality it is a solid NM- or VG++ album. You'll likely never see a better original.
The hit song "A Thousand Stars In The Sky" failed to sell many LP's for Indigo. I've been collecting since 1968 and have not seen another copy of this outside of eBay. Here's a chance to add a rarity from the doo-wop era to your collection.
The starting bid is set at less than one-half of the sale price for a similarly graded, recently completed Indigo LP-504 album sold here. Good Luck - and don't hesitate to ask questions.
