You are bidding on a near mint vinyl white label test pressing LP of ‘Coma of Souls’ as released by Kreator in 1990. It is simply stunning.
The outer sleeve is as close as you will get to turning the clock back to 1986 and picking it up of the record store racks yourself – except this came to me via Germany from the London office of Noise International. I did a fanzine back in the day – I had so many record labels sending me stuff at the time that this LP got played, but probably less than ten times – it was a little too extreme for me. The inner liner is a generic sleeve but is similarly pristine. The double-sided insert/lyric sheet is also in amazing condition. The vinyl is pristine and plays perfectly.
Sure, there will be other copies of this album for sale on eBay but I do not think there will be one as unique as this or as close to mint as you will get for a record that has been played.
This is the fifth studio album from the German thrash band without peers. It is all you would expect - head-spinning musicianship intertwine with aggressive melodies to create complex moshers. Frank ‘Blackfire’ Gosdik had just arrived from Sodom and the band hardly skips a beat as he established an instant chemistry with vocalist and fellow six-stringer Mille Petrozza from the start, as they proceed to exchange lead after stinging lead like machine-gun fire.
This album includes the bona-fide Kreator classic ‘People of the Lie’
