In response to some inquiries I'm adding some information about this item and it's companion DF 123-124 that is also listed on ebay:
Fist of all, if you're familiar with those early, heavy mono DF pressings from the 50's you already know that they aren't always of the finest quality. Often they are slightly warped, the vinyl can be a little bubbly, the surface not as glossy as a DECCA or PATHÉ lp from that same period - I've often wondered why! These 4 records are almost nearmint by DF standards, meaning there's slight background-noise and they're not very shiny, but that's not due to misuse, that's just how they were made. There are a few blemishes that are not original.
Here is the exact breakdown for all 8 sides:
DF 121 is NM both sides.
DF 122 is NM except for side 2, which has one small pit that tics a few times.
DF 12 is NM except for some superficial scuffing on side 1.
DF 124 in NM except for one tiny pressing defect that tics 5 times, and a small scuff that doesn't affect play.
That's it. They sound as good as any DF lps I've heard. And when listening to them one can easily understand why they are so sought-after. What marvelous performances! Simply some of the finest Mozart ever recorded. BTW anyone who plans to listen to these should be equipped with a proper mono cartridge!
