Description

KPM Music Library LP 1044 The Big Beat  1969

Pounding-Thumping-Rocking-Pulsating are the words on the back of the LP cover used to describe this LP. what they left out was Funky-As-Hell. one of the most sought after LP's from the KPM label here composed by Keith Mansfield and Alan Hawkshaw. This LP contains some of the original tunes which later appeared on the infamous Mohawks record...on the Mohawks lp some of these tunes had extra horn tracks dubbed over them but hear they appear in their original forms stripped down and raw. super heavy funk with some serious hammond workout here...what more can I say, simply classic funk tunes.

side 1- "exclusive blend"/"studio 69"/"work out"/"rocky mountain runabout"/"beat me til i'm blue"/"roving reporter"/"senior thump"/"tap footer"

side 2- "teenage travelogue"/"teenage ton up"/"delivery date"/"a touch of nonsense"/"man on the move"/"the mexican dj"/"debsville"/"red square stomp"

strong vg+ i would grade this nm but there are a couple of light scuffs which do not effect overall sound. very very clean. plays wonderfully!!!!!  the cover has some tape around the edges and there is writing on the back noting certain tracks for production usage from the radio station i got this from. there is a catalog sticker on the front. cover shows some light ringwear and minor creasing around the corners but not bad at all. a fine copy of this funk bomb which doesnt show up on here too often!

S&H will be $6.00  international S&H will be more based on destination.

insurance optional $1.30
