The Chorus and Orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival
rare first pressing 5LP boxset from 1965 on yellow/black stereo PHILIPS' promotional label with catalognumber PHS5-950. This set was well taken care of over the years; it seems only record 1 was ever played at the time.... the records grade NEARMINT to MINT with clean labels and no spindlemarks - just perfect! The box comes complete with a 35-page booklet - all in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition... A historic Knappertsbusch performance recorded with the same superb audiophile soundquality as the German Philips boxsets available. Note that on the label it states "For Broadcast Only" and "Not for Sale", plus on the inside of the box there is a stamp stating "PROMOTIONAL COPY - NOT FOR SALE" ... see photos.
