Description

Excellent condition never been played. Debut single of the Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty sampling/rap project The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu. Featuring a mashed up and illegal sample intro of The Beatles All You Need is Love and the MC5 Kick Out The Jams. Single sided catalogue number JAMs 23, one of five recently discovered. Groove appears on one side only.
The 12inch comes in simple inner sleeve with a Walker Print promo photograph of two traffic wardens walking past and looking at The JAMs logo fly posted onto a billboard promoting Today newspaper, Britain’s first full colour newspaper.
Drummond’s vocals are raw and fast and hectoring in a Beastie Boys style rap. Far more confrontational and abrupt than the later ambient sound KLF (as they renamed themselves) mastered.
