The first Kiss performance was on January 30, 1973 for an audience of three. By the 1976 release of “Rock and Roll Over,” the band had already built a reputation for their live performances which included costumes, makeup, fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics.
