On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Kinks called 'Face To Face' and is a MUCH rarer MONO 1st pressing!!!! HOWEVER THIS COPY IS VERY VERY RARE!!!! TAKE A LOOK AT THE RECORD LABELS!!!! BOTH SIDES OF THE LABELS ARE FULLY AND HEAVILY TEXTURED WITH A FLAT 'RIM' AROUND THE LABEL EDGE!!!! EXACTLY LIKE ISLAND PRESSINGS!!!! THIS IS CLEARLY A VERY VERY RARE CONTRACT PRESSING WHERE ANOTHER COMPANY (ISLAND) PRESSED A FEW COPIES 'FOR' PYE WHEN THEY COULDNT COPE WITH DEMAND!!!! THIS IS INCREDIBLY RARE!!!! DONT MISS OUT!!!! This LP is very VERY underated and rarely IF EVER seen!!!! This is the ORIGINAL MONO UK 1st pressing from 1966 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is NPL 18149 on the ORIGINAL Pye label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! It is very VERY rare to find any ORIGINAL copies of this LP. They rarely, if ever turn up at all - let alone in this STUNNING condition!!!! DONT MISS OUT!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Kinks at their best!!!! Any fan of The Kinks, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection - especially in this condition!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE CENTRE HOLE!!!! The vinyl is in stunning condition for its age. Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is not and has NO scratches, only 2/3 light hairlines and only a VERY few of the lightest surface marks only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL HAS A 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! In fact the record SHINES like a mirror and is as BLACK as the night!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays really loud and clear with NO nasty loud pops, NO distortion, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle!!!! This is how I FOUND the record, and I have NOT used any nasty chemicals, or buffing machines to make it look better - it GENIUNELY is this STUNNING!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion. The record must grade visually Very Good++ if not better and plays better still!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record still has its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The FLIPBACK MONO Cover is also in STUNNING condition!!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES - can you get much better???? It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear, only a VERY few light creases (cover retains ALL of its original flatness) and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is RAZOR straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO wear, NO grubbyness, NO yellowing and only a VERY small amount of laminate loss on a small part of the flipbacks (barely shows except under light)!!!! THIS COVER LOOKS STUNNING!!!! The cover must grade Excellent(Minus) if not better!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP in this sort of condition!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1966 MONO CONTRACT PRESSING OF "FACE TO FACE", BY THE KINKS, IN STUNNING CONDITION!!!! Unfortunately I have noticed that one of my pictures was missed on this item. PLEASE BE ASSURED that BOTH SIDES of the labels on the record are in STUNNING condition and one of label pictures failed to come out due to a processing fault - and NOT because there is anything to hide. These contract pressed labels are very VERY rare and is in STUNNING condition!!!! GOOD LUCK in the auction!!!!
