Description

For sale is the debut (and only LP) by California hard rock, internationally-known innovative band, Kingdom.  Reviewed as a band whose sound was “somewhat reminiscent of vintage Cream”, Kingdom was led by Jim Potkey (well-known Southern California musician who played with such artists as B.B. King, Van Halen, Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Tina Turner) and future leader of L.A. band, “The Pirates”.  This is a rare first pressing of the band’s one and only recording, released on Specialty Records (SPS 2135) in 1970.  A solid rock band, Kingdom also featured the talents of John Toyne (guitar & vocals), Ed Newson (bass  vocals) and Gary Varga on drums - Pokey is credited with vocals, guitar & organ in addition to the songwriting.
