This is the UK 1st Press of the 'Lizard' by King Crimson. This press is complete with the original pink rim Island label, the earliest A-2U/B-2U matrix and 1st press laminated gatefold EJ Day sleeve.
The record is in Near Mint condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, every track looks superb. There are a couple of the very faintest wispy hairlines but these are insignificant it looks fantastic. The Island labels are exceptionally bright and clean and there is no spindle wear. On playing the sound is superb - rich, vibrant and extremely clear. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve.
The EJ Day laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is completely clean. The colours are exceptionally bright and the picture are sharp and entirely unworn. There is slight wear to the corners and opening edge. The inside marbling and text are superb. The edges are firm and the whole sleeve is still very solid.
